This year before me is
full of
Promise and opportunity,
Let me waste none of it, Lord.
This year is full of mystery and the unknown,
Help me to face it without fear or anxiety.
This year is blessed with beauty and adventure,
Make me fully alive to it!
During this year, keep me
thoughtful,
Prayerful and kind.
May I be courteous and helpful to others,
And not turned in on myself.
Keep me away from any word or deed
That would hurt or destroy or belittle,
And may my thoughts please you.
When the year comes to a
close,
May I look back on it
Without grief or bitterness in my heart.
May no one be unhappy because of anything
I have done or failed to do.
Make it a year in which
we grow towards
Knowing our highest purpose,
And our deepest held values.
May we allow your love to keep us well.
May we expand our resourcefulness each day,
And use all our resources with wisdom.
May we freely give and receive love,
